Ashamed

I was merely not only capable of achieving high levels of contrast and tone, but it is also my attempt of capturing realism at the same time by reflecting on a photo-realistic reference and apply both self-taught and developed drawing techniques. The young man himself is conscious and expresses the fact that he is unhappy and ‘ashamed’ by his bulgy body shape.
This can also reflect postmodern society’s judgement on people through physical features. This is particularly true through the social implications of social media. The composition and emotion obviously tries to achieve such expression and convince viewers of his situation and make them feel sympathy and pity for this young man, consciously living in a world that is controlled by a fearful monster called, society. This in effect, depicts fear and society as both implicated mental processes in a conscious mind. In terms of Freudian theory, the young man only expresses this personal, social and physical situation through his own aware mental processes in his conscious mind.
